Congress and exhibition center “St Petersburg” from 25 to 28 April 2017 will host the 18th international the exhibition “Welding/Welding 2017”. It is the leading Russian forum of advanced welding technologies and the largest industry platform for constructive dialogue between government, business and academia on the development of the welding industry. In 2016, ‘Welding» was attended by about 6 thousand specialists.
The exhibition is traditionally attended by leading Russian and foreign manufacturers of welding equipment and materials which will showcase the latest technologies and experience of their implementation in welding production in industrial enterprises. In 2016, its production and development has presented more than 150 companies from Belgium, Hungary, Germany, India, China, USA, France, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Estonia and 56 regions of Russia. This year in addition to the Chinese national exhibition will be organized for the first time the national stand of Turkey.
In the framework of the business program planned a variety of special events. Meeting of the Scientific coordination Council for development of welding and related technologies of the Ministry of industry and trade will be held with the participation of relevant departments, representatives of state corporations Rosatom, Roscosmos, companies of oil and gas and industrial enterprises of the defense industry. In conjunction with the National Agency of welding control, the Ministry will also hold a traditional plenary session “Actual problems of increasing of welding efficiency”.
Congress programme “welding/Welding 2017” will also include International scientific conference “the Actual problems of increasing of welding efficiency" of presentations of the leading manufacturers of welding equipment and materials, discussions on the development and modernization of welding technology, equipment and materials in shipbuilding, oil and gas, nuclear, aerospace, Railways and other industries. Leading industry figures will discuss the main problems and ways of development of welding production, the needs of Russian industry in the new materials and equipment, directions of research and development of innovative welding technologies, the coordination of activities in the area of improving regulatory framework and training of highly qualified specialists.
The organizer of the exhibition and Congress is the “Expoforum-international” in partnership with the JSC «Gazprom», the Alliance of welders of St. Petersburg and the Northwest Federal district, by MESSE ESSEN GmbH and by the German Association of welding (DVS).
